Overview
A minimally-invasive weight-loss procedure that involves placing an adjustable ring around the top part of the stomach to restrict food intake, helping you to feel full sooner and lose weight (up to 50% of excess weight). The procedure is then followed up by frequent visits for adjustments. Gastric banding is reversible and is reported to have the lowest rate of post-surgery complications among bariatric procedures. However, it may also lead to less amount of weight loss compared to others.
