Dr. Yuksel Kankaya

Dr. Yuksel Kankaya, born in 1977 in Izmir, Turkey, is an specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. His educational journey began in Izmir, where he completed his primary, secondary, and high school studies, culminating in his graduation from Karşıyaka High School in 1994. He then pursued his medical studies at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, graduating in 2001.

Dr. Kankaya's professional career took a significant step forward in 2001 when he joined Ankara Training and Research Hospital's Plastic Surgery Clinic. By 2007, he had earned his specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. His commitment to the field led him to serve in various capacities, including short stints at Batman State Hospital and Keçiören Training and Research Hospital. He also completed his military service at Diyarbakır Military Hospital in 2009.

In 2012, Dr. Kankaya achieved another milestone by passing the chief assistant exam, subsequently joining the academic staff of the Plastic Surgery Clinic at Ankara Training and Research Hospital. A notable area of Dr. Kankaya's expertise is in hand and microsurgery, where he has handled nearly 700 cases of hand and finger amputations. His experience also includes treating thousands of patients requiring reconstructive surgery beyond hand surgery and microsurgery.
