Dr. Sezgi Sarikaya Solak

Born in 1985 in Kayseri, Turkey, Dr. Sezgi Sarikaya Solak completed his initial education in Kayseri and subsequently graduated from Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine in 2009.

Following graduation, Dr. Solak undertook specialist training in skin and venereal diseases at Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, completing this phase of his education in 2014. He then served at Sivas Numune Hospital before moving to Trakya University Faculty of Medicine. In 2017, he was appointed as an assistant professor at the university, and in 2022, he was promoted to associate professor.

In his role at Trakya University, Dr. Solak focuses on both teaching and clinical practice in dermatology. He is actively involved in research, with numerous publications in SCI-SSCI, SCI Expanded, and AHCI indexed journals. 

Dr. Solak's academic contributions also extend to presenting at various international and national scientific meetings, authoring book chapters, and holding an editorial position with Turkderm - Turkish Archives of Dermatology and Venereology.

His work is recognized in the academic community, as evidenced by his receipt of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology John Stratigos Memorial Scholarship in 2020 and the first prize at the 8th National Dermatological Surgery Days in 2021.
