Dr. Sait Gokhan Bircan

With a highly successful academic background and a pile of professional experience, Dr. Sait Gokhan Birсan is a physician who is a specialist in his field and provides safe services. Dr. Bircan has been specifically working in the field of hair transplantation and his hands-on experience coupled with his in-depth knowledge of the field, helped him to come up with innovations, being known for his unique methods. He is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and always offers professional solutions to his patients.

In 2004, he started studying medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Turkey. Young Bircan soon showed great interest in research and took part in several research studies mainly about hormone imbalances, stem cells, tissue transplantation, and scalp histology. He graduated from the University of Istanbul with a medical degree in 2010. He continued his academic career at the Faculty of Medicine and General Surgery at the University of Cambridge, one of the leading universities in England and the world. Dr. Bircan broadened his practical knowledge and elevated his skills, performing organ transplant surgeries at highly regarded hospitals and medical schools such as Addenbrooke's Hospital, England. During his internship at the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery in New York Presbyterian Hospital, Surgery Department of Cornell & Columbia University Weill Cornell School of Medicine in New York, USA, Sait Bircan gained considerable experience in general surgery.

Expanding his knowledge and adding to his skills through several courses at well-known medical centers worldwide, Dr. Bircan started working in the field of hair transplantation in close collaboration with members of the Turkish Medical Association, back in Istanbul. Dr. Bircan applied his knowledge in the field of stem cells and their effects on grafts by supporting root transplantation with stem cells in hair transplant surgeries which contributed significantly to the perfection of his procedures.

Soon after, in 2015, Bircan Developed and patented a new hair transplant punch that allowed unshaved hair transplantation and increased the variety and success of treatments with FUE motor. Having helped hundreds of patients with successful hair transplantation, Dr. Bircan became more and more known both inside Turkey and internationally.

Dr. Bircan strongly believes in keeping himself updated and equipped with new scientific achievements which is why he rarely misses valuable congresses or workshops, be it in the far east or far west,  where many medical scientists from different parts of the world share their research and innovation. He became a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) in 2016 and kept attending ISHRS congresses on hair transplantation to follow the developments in his field more closely.

His devoted services coupled with his academic and professional excellence helped Dr. Bircan to become a competent supervisor at Levent Hospital Hair Transplantation Department in 2017.

As a prominent doctor in the field, Dr. Bircan started training and sharing his experiences on hair transplantation with doctors and their teams from different countries such as Poland, Russia, Austria, Germany, America, England, Spain, and Canada. Along with hair transplantation, he continued his studies on scalp diseases.

Dr. Bircan continues to work in the field of hair transplantation at a JCI-accredited hospital (which certifies quality standards of excellence), performing hair transplants using FUE with manual and hybrid punch extraction, DHI, and stem cell support.
