Dr. Hakan Arslan

Dr. Hakan Arslan's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine, Turkey, completed in 1999, followed by specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, finished in 2005. His dissertation was titled “Effects of Hematoma on Microcirculation and Muscle Viability in Muscle Island Flaps.”

In terms of language proficiency, Dr. Arslan has achieved a C1 Advanced level in English and an A1 Beginner level in German.

Dr. Arslan's career in academia has seen him occupy various roles at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, including Research Assistant PhD (1999-2005), Expert (2009-2013), Associate Professor (2013-2022), and Professor since 2022 in the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences. He has also been serving as a member of the Ethics Committee since 2019.

His research contributions are extensive, leading projects on microvascular anastomosis, personalized medicine, and maxillofacial surgery, among others. Dr. Arslan has applied for patents in 2018 and 2023 related to maxillofacial surgery techniques.
