Dr. Gurhan Ozcan

Dr. Gürhan Özcan, based in Turkey, has been practicing plastic surgery for many years. His area of expertise includes surgeries related to the nose, eyelids, breasts, and abdomen, with specific skills in tummy tuck and revision rhinoplasty procedures. Dr. Özcan obtained his medical education at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Ankara, where he completed his medical degree (1971-1977) and residency in plastic surgery (1977-1983).

His professional development includes a tenure as a Research Associate in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center, Houston, from 1988 to 1990, and as an Assistant Professor in the same institution from 1990 to 1991. He qualified as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Gülhane Military Academy, Department of Plastic Surgery, Ankara, in 1991. Dr. Özcan served as an Associate Professor at Hacettepe University from 1992 to 1995, and later as a Professor and the founding head of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Başkent University's Faculty of Medicine from 1995 to 1998. He earned his EBOPRAS certification in Budapest, Hungary, in 2006.

Administratively, Dr. Özcan has been active in the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, holding positions including Treasurer, Secretary-General, and President. Internationally, he has served as the Turkish National Delegate for various organizations and conferences, such as IPRAS and EURAPS.

Currently, Dr. Özcan practices in his private clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul.
