Dr. Gokhan Haytoglu

Gokhan Haytoglu, a native of Hatay, was born in 1982. Following his early education in Hatay, Dr. Haytoglu embarked on his medical journey at Hacettepe University's Department of Medicine in 2000. During his time there, he took a detour to the United States in 2004 to contribute to research endeavors at the Orthopaedic Research Lab at Washington University, St. Louis. Dr. Haytoglu successfully completed his MD degree in 2006, transitioning to a residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University's Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine.

In the subsequent years, Dr. Haytoglu passed the USMLE exams, thereby earning the right to acquire the ECFMG certificate in 2010. This achievement facilitated his move to Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland. There, he was privileged to collaborate with renowned aesthetic facial and nasal surgeon, Dr. Guyuron. Dr. Haytoglu's time at Case Western also involved him in cadaveric studies at the Cleveland Clinic under the mentorship of Dr. McCarthy, a globally respected craniofacial surgeon. For his dissertation, he delved into the exploration of fat injection as a treatment for skull defects in rats. The results of this research were later showcased at the European Microscopy Congress (EMC2012) in Manchester, England.

Following his return to Turkey, Dr. Haytoglu served at Kirklareli State Hospital in 2012. He then contributed his expertise at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital in 2014. During that same year, he worked with Dr. Sozer at El Paso Cosmetic Surgery in Texas, where he honed his skills in his area of special interest, Post-Bariatric Surgery – Body Contouring.

Dr. Haytoglu is also an accomplished academic, with a substantial number of published articles and oral presentation posters to his credit. He makes it a point to participate in national and international conferences and symposiums regularly, staying abreast with the latest breakthroughs in his field.

Dr. Gokhan Haytoglu, now based in the Nişantaşı neighborhood of Istanbul, Turkey, runs his private practice with a focus on body shaping, liposuction, tummy tucks, and breast augmentation. Known for his commitment to safety and meticulous techniques, Dr. Haytoglu is adept at achieving realistic results, much to the delight of his patients. 

Dr. Haytoglu is affiliated with several prestigious organizations such as the Turkish Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Turkish Association of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. His academic prowess is evident in the myriad of studies he has co-authored.

In his free time, Dr. Haytoglu enjoys an active lifestyle with pursuits including basketball, ATV safaris, and cable-ski trips.
