Which technique is used for eyebrow transplantation?
I want to undergo an eyebrow transplant. What technique do you use for eyebrow transplantation?
Most eyebrow transplant surgeons use FUT or DHI (which is also a version of FUE) methods. FUT is less commoly used for eyebrow transplant because unlike scalp transplant the transplantation area is smaller and not many grafts are needed. FUE (follicular unit extraction) involves the extraction of individual hair follicles from the donor area (typically the back of the scalp) using a small punch tool. The extracted follicles are then transplanted into the recipient area (in this case, eyebrows) one by one.
The DHI (direct hair implants) DHI is a variation of the FUE technique that involves a specialized tool called a Choi implanter pen. In this technique hair follicles are extracted one by one using a micro punch tool and are directly implanted into the recipient area using the implanter pen. The Choi implanter pen allows for precise control over the depth, direction, and angle of hair implantation, resulting in natural-looking hair growth patterns.
Microblading is a procedure that makes brows look fuller, using a pen with something like ink to create lines on the brow.
