Hi, After trauma there are 3 possible reasons for the swelling that you see on your lip: Hematoma (blood collection) organizing into fibrous tissue (hard-solid mass) Venous lacuna (blood cyst) which may happen after trauma Mucocele (minor salivary gland cysts) which may happen after trauma If it is shrinking with time you can wait for 6-12 months, but if it is not changing at all it can be removed with a minor surgical excision.
