Dr. Sedat Tatar

Dr. Sedat Tatar is a plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. He was born in 1983 and completed his high school education at Malatya Science High School in 2001.

Following high school, Dr. Tatar pursued his medical degree at Gazi University, which he obtained in 2008. He then specialized in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at the same institution, becoming a recognized specialist in 2015.

During his training, Dr. Tatar participated in various surgical procedures, including the third face transplant performed in Turkey at Gazi University. He also contributed to the medical field during his tenure at the Kayseri Research and Training Hospital between 2015 and 2017.

Upon earning his national board certification, Dr. Tatar obtained further qualifications from the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). In 2018, he received the Young Plastic Surgeon Scholarship award from the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS YPSS), leading to a collaborative stint with Prof. Jian Farhadi at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital in London, UK.

In 2019, Dr. Tatar was admitted to the American College of Surgeons, becoming a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). By 2020, he had attained the title of Associate Professor.

Between 2017 and 2021, Dr. Tatar was associated with Koç University Hospital, during which time he engaged in teaching and research

In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Tatar is actively involved in continuing education and regularly participates in international and national courses and congresses. His experience extends internationally, having worked with Dr. Alexander Aslani on BBL and Body Contouring surgery in Marbella, Spain, in 2022.

Currently based in Istanbul, Turkey, Dr. Tatar practices at his private clinic, serving patients with a wide range of aesthetic and plastic surgery needs. His professional portfolio includes over 40 articles published in international and national journals, along with more than one hundred scientific presentations.
