Dr. Muhterem Polat

Dr. Muhterem Polat holds a position as Professor at Gazi University, where she has been a part of the faculty since 2012. Her academic background includes a postgraduate degree in Internal Medical Sciences from Gazi University, completed in 2003, with a dissertation focused on the "Effectiveness of Oral Erythromycin in Psoriasis."

Dr. Polat's professional experience includes time at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital and Private Koru Ankara Hospital between 2010 and 2012. Currently, she continues her work at Gazi University.

In the realm of research, Dr. Polat has contributed as a consultant to various studies. These include examining the characteristics of psoriasis patients, the impact of isotretinoin treatment on acne patients, and the investigation of homocysteine, vitamin B12, and folic acid levels in relation to isotretinoin treatment. Her scholarly work has been published in respected journals such as the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the International Journal of Dermatology.

Dr. Polat's academic responsibilities also extend to supervising students and participating in jury memberships for academic appointments. Her recent involvement includes an appointment to the academic staff as an Associate Professor at Gazi University in March 2022.
