Dr. Basar Erdogan

Dr. Basar Erdogan was born in Ankara in 1984 and later shifted to Istanbul for his secondary and high school education. Pursuing his passion for medicine, he secured a place at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Upon successfully finishing his medical education in 2010, Dr. Erdogan took the Medical Specialization Examination (TUS) the following year and joined Ankara Health Sciences University. His work led him to specialize in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Dışkapı Training and Research Hospital.

For the enhancement of his expertise, Dr. Erdogan spent six months of his assistantship at Tokyo-Showa University, Japan. There, he collaborated with Shinya Yoshimoto, focusing on cleft lip and palate - congenital anomalies primarily in children. In 2016, he wrapped up his specialty training and transitioned to an academic role, serving at the Near East University Faculty of Medicine in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus from 2018 to 2019.

From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Erdogan practiced in various private hospitals in Istanbul. By 2022, he initiated his own venture by establishing the Basar Erdogan Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. Dr. Erdogan also contributed to the global medical community by translating chapters of the book 'Inverse Abdominoplasty', which holds the distinction of being the first international medical book by a Turkish team, published by Springer Verlag. Beyond this, he has a noteworthy presence in various scientific platforms, congresses, and seminars, both domestically and internationally.
