Dr. Ayse Kalay

Born in Ünye on August 8, 1987, Dr. Ayse Kalay completed her early education in her hometown before pursuing a medical degree at Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. She graduated from the English Program in 2011. Subsequently, she specialized in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, completing her certification in 2017.

Between 2017 and 2021, Dr. Kalay worked in state hospitals in the Iskenderun province, then moved to Istanbul Erdem Hospital from 2021 to 2022. Throughout her career, she has focused on continually updating her knowledge and skills to keep abreast of advancements in her field.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Kalay has been involved in a variety of courses and publications. She attended several courses, including a Microsurgery course at the Laboratory of Microsurgery Department of Neurosurgery University Hospital Zurich in 2013, and the Open Rhinoplasty Cadaver Course in 2015. Additionally, she attended the Smas Dissection Cadaver Course for Facelift in 2015, the Preservation Reservation Rhinoplasty Course in 2018, and the Temporal Lift Course in 2022.

Dr. Kalay's research work has been featured in the European Journal of Plastic Surgery, covering topics such as clinical and histopathological analyses of naevi and pigmented skin lesion excisions. Her research also includes an investigation of a unique variant of Poland's syndrome and an analysis of the effects of fat graft on temporomandibular joint disc disorders, published in the Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty.

Dr. Kalay is an active member of several professional associations, including the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association. These affiliations contribute to her professional development and connect her with fellow professionals in her field.
