Dr. Ahmet Sonmez

Born in Ankara in 1971, Dr. Ahmet Sonmez embarked on his academic path at TED Ankara College. Following his formative years, he pursued his medical education at the prestigious Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Early on, surgical disciplines captivated his interest, eventually leading him to the realm of plastic surgery.

In 1996, Dr. Sonmez began his endeavors at Marmara University's Department of Plastic Surgery as an assistant. By 2002, he had earned the title of "Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist" after completing his thesis on nerve recovery. His affiliation with Marmara University persisted, allowing him to contribute both as a specialist and lecturer. Notably, Dr. Sonmez's experience grew, particularly in facial anatomy and surgery, as he treated patients with facial paralysis.

To augment his expertise, Dr. Sonmez undertook advanced training in multiple international centers across countries like Germany, the Netherlands, Slovakia, America, and Italy. By 2008, he had been honored with the title of Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery, and he went on to secure specialization certificates in "Hand Surgery" and "Oral Maxillofacial Surgery". Throughout his career, Dr. Sonmez has consistently shared his knowledge, with several of his scientific articles appearing in both domestic and international professional journals. He's also presented his research at numerous conferences worldwide.
