Dr. Afet Oncel Bozkurt

With over a decade of practice under her belt, Dr. Afet Bozkurt has emerged as a distinguished figure in the field of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. Her extensive experience spans more than 10 years during which she has successfully performed over 1000 surgeries, testament to her proficiency and dedication in the field.

Born in 1984 in Kayseri, Dr. Bozkurt's academic journey began with an outstanding graduation, ranking second from Erciyes University's Faculty of Medicine in 2007. Following this, she embarked on her specialization journey in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul Haydarpasa Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2008.

An enriching part of her specialization was her tenure as an 'International Fellow' at Northwestern University's Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Chicago, USA, in 2013. This experience broadened her horizons and augmented her understanding of the field. Dr Bozkurt's research on the effect of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on capsule formation around silicone prosthesis solidified her standing in the field, earning her the title of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery specialist.

Completing her mandatory service at Kars State Hospital, Dr. Bozkurt's accolades include being awarded the prestigious "European Board Certificate" in 2014. This achievement signifies her competence and is recognized by plastic surgeons across Europe. Her success in both theoretical and practical exams in Brussels, Belgium, and Helsinki, Finland, respectively, resulted in her acceptance as a member of the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS).

Dr. Bozkurt's contributions extend beyond surgery and academia. She has presented studies in both national and international congresses, contributing to the global discourse on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Since August 2015, she served in Istanbul's Central Hospital, before establishing her own clinic in October 2018.

Currently, Dr. Bozkurt holds hospital privileges at Acıbadem Hospital and Central Hospital, providing a platform for her expertise.
